Welcome to my analog photography portfolio!
Cape Sounion
My name is Rodolfo and I'm an amateur analog and digital photographer from Lisbon, Portugal.
This website is my way of sharing and expressing my love of photography with anyone who's interested, without the restrictions of social media platforms. In here, you'll see a sample of my work throughout the last 4 years, and I hope I can keep udating it for many more.
I first started analog photography in 2020 with disposable cameras. They were cheap and easy to use for someone with no knowledge of how the parameters can drasticly change the final result. After a few years, I started using a camera that belonged to my father in his youth, a Minolta X-700, and it has acompanied me ever since.
My interest in photography was sparked by watching my older brother, João Bernardo, taking absolutely beautiful shots of random people in the street, portraits of my sister-in-law, and breathtaking landscapes. I loved the fact that I could see the world through his eyes and I wanted to express myself like that, to be understood, to make my reality be known. I also have friends who are professional or amateur photographers (like Alexander SIlva) and I enjoy seeing their work, as they inspire me to develop my skills.
I want to thank my family and friends who are always available to be my muses, and have enough patience to deal with my atempt at trying to find the perfect, genuine moment.
For now, I'm choosing not to sell prints of my photos, altough I have self-published two photography books through a website called Blurb. Maybe in the future, who knows?
I'm an accountant by profession, but I also like to write poems and stories, to go to the cinema, draw, play the guitar, read, collect and customize LEGO minifigures and many other hobbies.
My next goal is to participate in the XXXVIII FIDEM Munich 2025 congress with a medal I designed and produced between 2020 and 2023.
